The GSLP Experience
Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool is a Christian-based preschool with experienced, caring teachers who create a friendly and safe atmosphere for all who walk through our doors. Our hands-on and developmentally appropriate curriculum is based on the Illinois Early Learning Standards. Our curriculum includes Jolly Phonics™ and phonemic awareness, Handwriting Without Tears™, math concept development, Spanish, Musikgarten and Monthly Sanctuary visits with our Children’s Ministry Team.

IN THE BEGINNING
History of GSLP
ESTABLISHED 1996, our preschool started with just two classrooms, 22 students and 4 staff. Today, we are blessed to welcome 157 students led by 23 gifted teachers and staff…and we continue to grow!
CONTINUING THE MISSION OF OUR CHURCH
As an integral part of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, our preschool continues the mission of providing a God-centered, encouraging, and joyful place where people are authentic, relationships are caring, and kids matter.
By providing to our congregation, neighbors, and community the best early childhood education within a Christian environment, we feel so blessed to continue the mission of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as we invite everyone to walk together in the calling of Christ for a life of eternal impact.
